The gods have been conspiring against me. Every time I try to head in the direction of my friendly-neighborhood printer, I get waylay-ed by something else that derails me completely and heads me in a new direction. And it might be days before I remember where I was going, and what it was that I didn't get done.
Have you done this before? It's a daily occurrence for me and my mush-for-brains. I blame it on the very scant amount of RAM I've got running upstairs, due to the myriad of memory-sucking programs I'm running altogether, making it so that I can't do two things at once. I can rarely do one thing at once. So easy has it become to get sidetracked that I have resorted to carrying my iphone, with to-do list showing and current project highlighted, from the bedroom to the kitchen, so that when I arrive at the fridge I know why I'm there. But I digress. Again.
Last week, when I actually made it into the storefront, I discovered they had a new and fancy kiosk, with a significant learning curve. My children took advantage of my back being turned to pull out every toy in the place in under three minutes and to start chucking them at the displays. I rolled my eyes and began the retreat, but as I grabbed my disk and headed for the door, Lab Printer Erin handed me her card with instructions for their new and fancy "online" kiosk. My eyes got misty and I blew her a kiss.
The print job for the collection now known as The Tara Pictures is on my browser right now. I'll get Jack's input for what he wants on his walls and send it off this afternoon. And the pictures will be on the wall by the weekend. So help me, they will be ON THE WALL.
But for now, there is this one.
The Tara Pictures will eventually appear in every room in our home (by the weekend, remember) but this wall right here has been carefully prepped as a stage for Photo Number One. It's right here in my kitchen that is all lit up by the flood of morning sunlight through this newly-discovered window. It's the first thing I see as I round the corner to feed the boys and the focal point when anyone walks in the front door.
It makes me all sorts of happy and satisfied. And leaves me wanting for more all at the same time. And, methinks, it needs a smaller landscape one, underneath and to the left, yes? Thought so. I'll add it to the order.
Well of course you would want it as the focal point when you walk in the door. With such a beautiful family, who wouldn't?
Love the photo's Kari,
Love you too.
