Day 173 - December 20

I brined a turkey! And we had a bunch of people over to celebrate.

Last week we were asked to make doctor's appointments (for adoption needs) but decided the timing could not have been better--in addition to kids growth charts and barrenness verifications, we got a matching set of antibiotics, renewals on allergy prescriptions, ear cream, and a tetnus shot for me. Over 90 minutes with the doctor. Then I raced to get back to see Jack's performance, before heading home to prep for scouts. By the end of the day, we were all wiped out, so we bent some rules and let Dad open his Apple TV early, so we could watch a movie.

Day 170 - December 17

With Craig still down and out of commission, I spend the evening with Christmas cards and cheesy holiday chick-flick.

Day 169 - December 16

He's back.

Day 168 - December 15

We've both been feeling under the weather the last few days, but this morning Craig's back made him immovable, withe every cough sending his back into spasms . . . so he got to be sick and I had to be mom. In an attempt to wear out the kids, we grabbed and neighbor and headed up the canyon to a visit to our favorite sledding spot.
